CHANDIGARH: Passengers at the Chandigarh railway station will find it more convenient to make their way around with the Ambala railway division deciding to install two more escalators by September. These are in addition to the two escalators, work on which is in progress. The new escalators will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 crore.
One of the two escalators will come up on the Panchkula side for people who take that route to the station. The other will be constructed between platform number 4 and 5. Divisional railway manager of Ambala division P K Sanghi said, "The new escalators have been approved recently.
