6 Unreserved Special Trains from Mumbai to Nagpur



6 SPECIAL UNRESERVED TRAINS FROM MUMBAI TO NAGPUR

Railways have decided to run six Special trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus / Dadar to Sewagram /Ajni /Nagpur to clear the extra rush of passengers o­n account of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Maha Parinirvan Divas being celebrated at Dadar Chaitya Bhoomi o­n 6th December 2013. The details of special trains are as under:-

A) TWO UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS o­n 6.12.2013

1) Train No. 01005 Special train will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 16.05 hrs o­n 6.12.2013 and will arrive Ajni at 08.10 hrs next day.

2) Train No. 01007 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 18.40 hrs o­n 6.12.2013 and will arrive Sewagram at 10.30 hrs next day.

B) TWO UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS o­n 7.12.2013

3) Train No. 01011 Special will leave Dadar at 00.40 hrs o­n 7.12.2013 (midnight of 6/7.12.2013) and will arrive Nagpur at 18.00 hrs same day.

4) Train No. 01021 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 12.35 hrs o­n 7.12.2013 and will arrive Nagpur 03.30 hrs next day.

C) TWO UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS o­n 8.12.2013

5) Train No. 01035 Special will leave Dadar at 00.40 hrs o­n 8.12.2013 (midnight of 7/8.12.2013) and will arrive Nagpur at 18.00 hrs same day.

6) Train No. 01037 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 18.40 hrs o­n 8.12.2013 and will arrive Nagpur at 12.10 hrs next day.

HALTS: Dadar (for 01005, 01007 & 01037), Kalyan, Kasara, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Jalamb, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Pulgaon, Wardha, Sewagram and Ajni (for 01011, 01021, 01035 & 01037).

COMPOSITION: 11 General second class, and 2 general second class cum guard’s brake vans.

12 Suburban Special Trains on Mahaparinirvan Divas (After midnight of 5/6.12.2013)

C RLY WILL RUN 12 SUBURBAN SPECIAL TRAINS o­n MAHAPARINIRVAN DIVAS

Central Railway has decided to run 12 suburban special trains between Kalyan/Thane/Kurla - Dadar and Panvel/Vashi/Mankhurd - Dadar o­n Friday 6.12.2013 (after the midnight of 5/6.12.2013 i.e. Thursday/Friday night) for the benefit passengers o­n the occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Divas 2013. The Special trains will run stopping at all stations. The details are as under-

MAIN LINE SPECIAL LOCALS: BETWEEN DADAR– THANE / KALYAN / KURLA

DOWN SPECIALS

Dadar–Thane Special will leave Dadar at 01.15 hrs and arrive Thane at 01.55 hrs.

Dadar–Kalyan Special will leave Dadar at 02.25 hrs and arrive Kalyan at 03.35 hrs.

Dadar–Kurla Special will leave Dadar at 3.00 hrs and arrive Kurla at 3.15 hrs.

UP SPECIALS

Kurla – Dadar Special will leave Kurla at 00.45 hrs and arrive Dadar at 01.00 hrs.

Kalyan-Dadar Special will leave Kalyan at 01.00 hrs and arrive Dadar at 02.10 hrs.

Thane-Dadar Special will leave Thane at 02.10 hrs and arrive Dadar at 02.50 hrs

HARBOUR LINE SPECIAL LOCALS: BETWEEN PANVEL/VASHI/MANKHURD – DADAR

DOWN SPECIALS (Dadar via Kurla–Mankhurd/Vashi/Panvel)

Dadar–Mankhurd Special will leave Dadar at 02.15 hrs and arrive Mankhurd at 02.45 hrs.

Dadar–Panvel Special will leave Dadar at 02.45 hrs and arrive Panvel at 04.00 hrs.

Dadar–Vashi Special will leave Dadar at 03.45 hrs and arrive Vashi at 04.35 hrs.


UP SPECIALS (Panvel/Vashi/Mankhurd via Kurla – Dadar)

Vashi - Dadar Special will leave Vashi at 01.20 hrs and arrive Dadar at 02.00 hrs.

Panvel–Dadar Special will leave Panvel at 01.15 hrs and arrive Dadar at 02.30 hrs.

Mankhurd–Dadar Special will leave Mankhurd at 03.00 hrs and arrive Dadar at 03.30 hrs.

The above specials will run o­n Harbour line between Panvel/Vashi/Mankhurd and Kurla and o­n Main Line between Kurla and Dadar station. These trains will halt at all stations.

All concerned to please take note of this and avail the facility.

16 Firms Participated for Project Management Consultancy Services Contract for 2nd Phase of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor



International companies have shown very keen interest for participating in Expression Of Interest (EOI) process for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services Contract for the second phase of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor project from New Bhaupur to Mughalsarai (402 kms.).Total 16 international companies in joint venture with leading Indian companies have submitted their application for PMC contract on 29th November 2013. Some of the firms are PS DIGITECH-HR (India) Pvt.Ltd., SYSTRA SA, Bernard Ingenieure (Austria)-Obermeyer Plannen+Beraten(Germany)-Actes Bernard (Austria) in association with Bernard Engineers India, Getinsa lngenieria S.L. Spain, GEODATA ENGINEERING S.P.A., MEINHARDT SINGHAPORE PTE. LTD., TUV SUD South Asia. 

The Project Management Consultant will assist DFCCIL for review of preliminary, definitive design, Contract Management , Construction Supervision, review of contractors’ documents, review of Quality Assurance Plan, Contractor Safety Plan, Environmental Management Plan, RAM Plan and assist in coordination with different agencies, management of interface, co-ordination with utility authorities etc. with Services respect to Civil, Structures, Track Works for Bhaupur–Khurja Section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. 

It may be recalled that the World Bank has agreed in principle to part finance the Eastern Corridor project from Mughalsarai to Ludhiana, which has been divided into 3 phases. The total in principle loan commitment is US$ 2.725 billion, out of which the loan for the first phase to the tune of US$ 975 million was sanctioned in May, 2011 and the loan agreement was signed in October, 2011. The loan for the second phase is expected to be of the order of USD 1100 million. 

DFCCIL, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is engaged in planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the dedicated freight corridors and in the first phase, the two corridors, namely, Eastern Corridor from Ludhiana to Dankuni (1839 kms) and the Western Corridor from Dadri to Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) (1499 kms) are being constructed. The entire Western Corridor is being funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), while the Eastern Corridor from Mughalsarai to Ludhiana is being funded by the World Bank.

Member Engineering, Railway Board gives away the President’s Home Guard and Civil Defence Medals to Railway Employees



Shri Subodh Jain, Member Engineering, Railway Board gave away the President’s Home Guard and Civil Defence Medals to Shri Udayan P. Bhange, Sr. Technician & Pt. CDI/South East Central Railway and Shri V.V. Marathe, Sr. CDI/South Western Railway at a Civil Defence Conference-2013 held in New Delhi. These Railway employees have actively participated in Civil Defence activities and were selected for this year’s President’s Home Guard and Civil Defence Medals as recognition of their meritorious services. Also presented on the occasion were Shri Pradeep Kumar, Additional Member (Civil Engineering)/Railway Board and Shri Alok Kumar, Executive Director/Civil Engineering (General), Railway Board, Shri Aseervatham Achary, Deputy Director/CE-I and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Section Officer/CE-I. 

While congratulating the awardees for their exemplary services, Shri Subodh Jain emphasized the importance of civil defence activities in Indian Railways especially during the period of natural calamity and also during unfortunate incidents of railway accidents. He also remarked that how at the time of railway accidents, large number of Volunteers trained in Search & Rescue, Fire Fighting, Basic Life Support, Emergency Welfare Services, Disposal of Dead etc., assist the Indian Railways in organizing various service groups for dealing with public concerns at the accident site. The Civil Defence Unit of Railways has played a very viable and potent role not only during Train Accidents but also during Natural Disasters such as Tsunami in South India and the Himalayan Tsunami in Uttarakhand. 

Civil Defence in India has been established 55 years ago. Initially, it was established for the protection of community and national assets during War Emergencies. Railways have always played a major role in transporting Military Personnel and War Equipment to the War front making it a vulnerable target for the enemy Air force. The Civil Defence in Railways has been objectively organized for achieving the goals of (i) Saving Life and Property, (ii) Minimizing damage after the event, (iii) Maintaining continuity of Production Centers, and (iv) Raising Public Morale. 

The Conference deliberated on various issues related to implementation of Civil Defence Policy, suggestions on specific issues and for co-ordinating with Zonal Railways/PUs etc., each of which undertake duties not only during wartime but also during peacetime.
