Hyderabad Division Lifts SCR Inter Divisional Football Trophy

Hyderabad Division of SCR clinched the ‘SCR Inter Divisional Football Trophy’ from the defending champion Secunderabad Division (2-1) in a toughly contested final, held at Railway Sports Complex Grounds, Secunderabad today (26.09.2014). 
          The final match between Hyderabad Division and Secunderabad Division   ended in draw with o­ne goal for each. In the  tie breaker, five chances were given to each team. The tie breaker also turned out to be a draw since each team scored 3 goals each. Hence the teams were given  2nd tie breaker with 3 chance each. In the 2nd tie breaker, Hyderabad Division bagged 2 goals against o­ne goal by Secunderabad Division.  

Restoration of Some Trains which were cancelled earlier due to Safety and Operational Improvement Works at Kazipet

The following trains which were earlier cancelled due to Safety and Operational Improvement works at Kazipet o­n 27th & 28th (Saturday & Sunday) September, 2014 are  restored to run to their normal scheduleas detailed below:-
Restoration o­n 27thSeptember, 2014 (Saturday):
a)Train No. 57625 Secunderabad-Manuguru Kakatiya Passenger.
b)Train No. 57626 Manuguru-Secunderabad Kakatiya Passenger.
c)Train No. 57136 Kazipet-Ajni Passenger.
Restoration o­n 28thSeptember, 2014 (Sunday):
a)Train No. 57135 Ajni-Kazipet Passenger.

SCR to Open Toll Free Security Helpline from 2nd October, 2014

With a view to strengthen the security of passengers travelling in trains and at stations, South Central Railway (SCR) will open a dedicated four digit, 24X7, Passenger Security Helpline Number -- 1322 over the Zone from 2nd October, 2014.
This Helpline facility will provide speedy assistance to the passengers within South Central Railway jurisdiction in the event of theft/snatching of Passenger luggage/valuables, pick pocketing, harassment by co-passengers and un-authorised passengers travelling in the coaches reserved for women and physically challenged persons or any other criminal incidents.

Cancellation of Machilipatnam-Renigunta-Machilipatnam Superfast Special Train

South Central Railway has earlier announced a special train i.e., Train No. 07402/07401 Machilipatnam-Renigunta-Machilipatnam Superfast special train (vide PR No. 363 dt.25th Sept, 2014) to run o­n 5th October, 2014.

However, in view of Commercial reasons the Train No. 07402/07401 Machilipatnam-Renigunta-Machilipatnam Superfast special train has been cancelled. Rail users may please take note.

Innovative “Platform Branding” Publicity at Guntur Railway Station

A first of its kind, innovative Commercial Publicity Avenue – “Platform Branding” has been introduced at Guntur Railway Station o­n Guntur Division of South Central Railway. Shri N.K.Prasad, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division commissioned the same o­n 26th September, 2014.

This “Platform Branding” Commercial Publicity Contract covers Platform No’s -1, 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 at Guntur Railway station and is initially awarded for a period of o­ne year. Under this scheme, the contractors are permitted to air advertisement o­n their business establishments for the duration of twenty seconds before announcing the arrival/departure of trains o­n respective Platforms through computerized Public Address (PA) System available at the Railway station.

Speaking o­n the occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager spoke o­n the emphasis being laid by Guntur Division to explore the possibilities of generating additional revenue through novel ways of Commercial publicity, such as “Platform Branding” which has been introduced.

Shri C.Ramakrishna Senior Divisional Commercial Manager & Shri N.Issac, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecommunications Manager, Guntur Division were also present o­n the occasion.

SCR Lalitha Kala Samithi organized a grand function at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad today (ie, o­n 25.09.2014) to felicitate Shri V. Srihari, Principal Chief Engineer, South Central Railway, who is superannuating his service o­n 30thSeptember, 2014. Shri P.K. Srivastava, General Manager, SCR was the Chief Guest o­n the occasion while Shri J.N. Jha, Chief Operations Manager, SCR, ShriRavinder Kumar, Chief Personnel Officer, SCR and Shri G. Laxminarayana, ChiefCommercial Manager, SCR & President, SCR Lalitha Kala Samiti were the Guests of Honour.

"Eight JANSADHARAN Special Trains to clear the Rush During Dasara Season "

South Central Railway will run Eight Jansadharan special trains between Tirupati-Nizamabad, Machilipatnam-Tirupati and Tirupati-Kakinada-Renigunta to clear extra rush during the Dussera season.
The Jansadharan special trains are specially designed services to meet the needs of passengers who could not get reserved accommodation in other trains and for those planning their journey in the last minute.
Each of these fully Un-Reserved Jansadharan special trains will be run with all General Second Class Coaches. These services will be useful in easing out the load o­n the General Un-reserved Coaches of regular Express Trains in that route.
For travel for a distance beyond 200 kms, passengers can purchase their tickets three days in advance from General Booking Counters.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera / Diwali festival season, SCR had announced two special trains (No.07210/07209) between   Secunderabad and Vijayawada.  (Vide this office’s Press Release No. 362 dated 25.09.2024).
Whereas Train No.07209 Vijayawada-Secunderabad special train will depart Vijayawada at 02:30 pm o­n 5th October, 2014 (Sunday) and arrive Secunderabad at 09:40 pm o­n the same day as already announced, there is a change in the date of service of Tr.No.07210 Secunderabad-Vijayawada special train  which was announced to  run o­n 06th September, 2014 from Secunderabad.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera / Diwali festival season, SCR will run six superfast special trains between Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam and Kacheguda-Chennai) as per the following schedule:-
I. Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad Superfast Special Train: (02 services)
Train No.02740 Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Superfast special train will depart Hyderabad at 11:15 pm o­n 2nd October, 2014, arrive/depart Secunderabad 11:35/11:40 pm and arrive Visakhapatnam at 11:30 am o­n the next day.

Eighteen Passenger Special Trains Between Arakkonam-Tirupati-Chennai Beach Station During Dasara Season


In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dasara festive season, Eighteen Passenger special trains will be run between Arakkonam – Tirupati - Chennai Beach station from 26thSeptember to 4th October, 2014as per the following schedule:- 
Train No. 05601 Arakkonam – Tirupati Passenger Special train will depart Arakkonam at 03.00 pm and arrive Tirupati at 05.10 pm o­n the same day.  This special train will also stop at Tiruttani, Puttur and Renigunta stations.
In the return direction, Train No.05602 Tirupati - Chennai Beach station Passenger Special train will depart Tirupati at 05:20 pm and arrive Chennai Beach station at 09:15 pm o­n the same day. This special train will also stop at Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam and Perambur stations.
These trains will have 10 coaches viz., eight General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

Restoration of Some Trains which were cancelled earlier due to Safety and Operational Improvement Works at Kazipet

              I.The following trains are being restored o­n Balharshah – Sirpur Town – Kazipet - Bhadrachalam Road Sections o­n 27th & 28th (Saturday and Sunday) September, 2014. These trains were earlier announced to have been cancelled due to Safety and Improvement works at Kazipet.
a)Train No. 57121 Kazipet–Balharshah Ramgiri Passenger. 
b)Train No. 57124 Balharshah–Bhadrachalam Road Singareni Passenger.
c)Train No. 57123 Bhadrachalam Road – Sirpur Town Singareni Passenger.
d) Train No. 57122 Sirpur Town – Kazipet Ramgiri Passenger.
The trains mentioned above will now run normally.
II.Train No. 57657 Manuguru–Kazipet Passenger which was earlier short terminated at Dornakal will now be run up to Warangal.
In return direction, Train No. 57658 Kazipet–Manuguru Passenger will now start from Warangal instead of Kazipet o­n 27th & 28th(Saturday and Sunday) September, 2014.

NEW TRAIN - W RLY INTRODUCES NEW INDORE-BAREILLY WEEKLY EXPRESS

Ministry of Railways has introduced a new train between Indore and Bareilly Weekly Express via Bhopal w.e.f02/10 /2014.
         From 2nd October 2014, Train No. 14319 Indore - Bareilly Weekly Express train will depart from Indore at 15.30 hrs on every Thursday and reach Bareilly at 15.40 hrs the next day.

WESTERN RAILWAY INCREASES FREQUENCY OF BANDRA (T)-JHANSI EXPRESS FROM WEEKLY TO BI WEEKLY

Ministry of Railways has decided to increase the frequency of Train No.11104/11103 Bandra (T)-Jhansi Express from Weekly to Bi Weekly with effect from 30thSeptember, 2014 Ex Bandra (T)
Accordingly, Train No. 11104 Bandra (T)- Jhansi Express which runs o­n Wednesday Ex Bandra (T) at present will now run o­n every WednesdayandTuesday (2 days) Ex Bandra (T)from 30th  September, 2014. 

NEW TRAIN - WR INTRODUCES NEW WEEKLY EXPRESS BETWEEN BANDRA(T) AND BHAVNAGAR

Ministry of Railways has introduced a new train between Bandra (T) and Bhavnagar w.e.f19/10 /2014.

From 20th October 2014, Train No. 19203 Bandra (T)- Bhavnagar Weekly Express train will depart from Bandra (T) at 13.15 hrs o­n every Monday and reach Bhavnagar(T) at 06.00 hrs the next day.

W Rly INTRODUCES NEW GANDHIDHAM-PURI WEEKLY EXPRESS

Ministry of Railways has introduced a new Weekly Express train between Gandhidham and Puri via Surat-Jalgaon w.e.f15/10 /2014.

From 15th October 2014, Train No. 19453 Gandhidham - Puri Weekly Express train will depart from Gandhidham at 19.30 hrs on every Wednesday and reach Puri at 19.55 hrs on third day.

Similarly, from 18th Oct 2014, Train No 19454 Puri - Gandhidham Weekly Express train will depart from Puri at 09.05 hrs on every Saturday and reach Gandhidham at 09.30 hrs on third day.

WR TO RUN FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BANDRA (T) AND MADGAON ON 1ST OCTOBER

 For the convenience of passengers during festival, WR will run two  Special trains between Bandra(T) - Madgaon (Goa)
09009/ 10 Bandra(T) – Madgaon- Bandra (T) Special Train
          Train No.09009 Bandra(T)– Madgaon Special Train will leave Bandra(T) at 23.45 hrs o­n Wednesday 1st Oct, 2014 and will reach Madgaon at 16.30 hrs, o­n next day.
          Similarly, in return direction Train No.09010 Madgaon – Bandra(T) Special Train will leave Madgaon at 20.00 hrs o­n Thursday 2nd Oct, 2014 and will arrive at Bandra(T) at 13.20 hrs, the next day.

1. LOKMANYA TILAK TERMINUS-KARMALI DOUBLE DECKER SPECIALS
Train No. 02005 Double Decker Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.30 hrs o­n 2.10.2014 and arrive Karmali at 16.30 hrs same day.
Train No. 02006 Double Decker Special will leave Karmali at 06.00 hrs o­n 5.10.2014 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 17.40 hrs same day.
HALTS: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road and Thivim
COMPOSITION: 8 Double Decker AC Chair Car, o­ne AC Pantry car and 2 Generator cum Guard’s brake vans.

Railways have decided to run Festival Special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Madgaon during 2014 Puja Holidays. The details are as under:

Train No. 00112 Special will leave Madgaon at 19.00 hrs o­n 5.10.2014 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.00 hrs next day.
Train No. 00111 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 09.05 hrs o­n 6.10.2014 and arrive Madgaon at 21.40 hrs same day.

HALTS: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim and Karmali

2 Unreserved and One Reserved Special Trains from Nagpur
