Tiruchirapalli-Pune & Kochchuveli-Guwahati Special Trains Extended

Tiruchirapalli-Pune & Kochchuveli-Guwahati Special Trains Extended



Special Trains which are currently running between Tiruchirapalli and Pune & Kochchuveli and Guwahati are extended to run for more services to clear extra rush of traffic as detailed below;-
1)Train No.06801 Tiruchirapalli-Pune  Special Train, which departs Tiruchirapalli o­n every Sunday to run via Chennai Egmore, Renigunta, Guntakal and Wadi,  is extended to run for 9 more services from 2nd November, 2014 to 28thDecember, 2014.
2)In the opposite direction, Train No. 06802 Pune-Tiruchirapalli Special Train, which departs Pune o­n every Monday, is extended to run for 9 more services from 3rd November, 2014 to 29thDecember, 2014.  
3)Train No. 06336 Kichchuveli-Guwahati Special Train, which departs Kichchuveli o­n every Sundays to run via. Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, is extended to run for 13 more services  from 2nd November, 2014 to 25th January,2015.
4)In the opposite direction, Train No.06335 Guwahati-Kochchuveli Special Train, which departs Guwahati o­n every Wednesday,  will be extened to run for 13 more services from 5thNovember, 2014 to 28th January, 2015.
Jaipur-Madurai-Jaipur weekly Premium Super Fast Special Trains Cancelled:
Train No. 09723 Jaipur- Madurai weekly premium super fast special train is cancelled o­n  1st, 8th, 15th November, 2014.  In the opposite direction, Train No. 09724 Madurai-Jaipur weekly premium super fast special train is cancelled o­n 4th, 11th and 18thNovember, 2014.

Jansadharan Special Train between Santragachi (Kolkata) and Secunderabad for RRC Exam Rush

In order to clear extra rush in connection with Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) examination, a Jansadharan Special Train will be run between Santragachi (Kolkata) and Secunderabad as per the following schedule:-
Train No.08045 Santragachi (Kolkata) - Secunderabad Jansadharan Special train willdepart Santragachi at 6.00 pm o­n 31st October, 2014 (Friday) and arrive Secunderabad at 9.15 pm o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 08046 Secunderabad - Santragachi (Kolkata) Jansadharan Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 6.35 pm o­n 2ndNovember, 2014 (Sunday) and arrive Santragachi at 11.30 pm o­n the next day.
Enroute, these Jansadharan special trains will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore,  Bhadrak, Duvvada, Anakapalle, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tadepallegudem, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Pidugurala, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda and Moula-ali stations in both directions.
These Jansadharan special trains will consist of 18 Coaches viz., 16 General Second Class and 2 Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches.

Timings of Train No.17011 Hyderabad-Sirpurkagaznagar Express to be Revised between Kazipet and Asifabad


            The timings of Train No.17011 Hyderabad-Sirpurkagaznagar Express will be revised between Kazipet and Asifabad with effect from 3rd November, 2014 to suit the needs of commuters. The departure timing at Hyderabad and arrival timing at Sirpurkagaznagar will however remain unchanged. 
            Accordingly, Train No.17011   Hyderabad-Sirpurkagaznagar Express will depart Hyderabad at 4.50 am as at present and run as per the present timings o­nly till Ghanpur. The timings are revised from thereon and the train will arrive/depart Kazipet at 7.15/7.17 pm instead of 7.35/7.37 am as at present, depart Oppal at 7.40 pm, Jammikunta at 7.47 pm, Potkapalli at 8.00 pm, Odela at 8.05 pm, Kolanur at 8.20 pm, Peddapalli at 8.35 pm, Ramagundam at 8.45 pm, Manchiryal at 9.00 pm, RavindraKhani at 9.06 pm, Mandamarri at 9.13 pm, Bellampalli at 9.20 pm, Rechni Road at 9.26 pm, Asifabad at 9.32 pm and arrive Sirpurkagaznagar at 10.35 pm as at present.

542 Persons Apprehended during Surprise Ticket Checking Drive at Ghatkesar Railway Station

542 Persons Apprehended during Surprise Ticket Checking Drive at Ghatkesar Railway Station



The Secunderabad Division of SC Railway carried out surprise bus raid checks against ticketless travel and un-booked luggage at Ghatkesar railway station today i.e. 31st  October, 2014 and apprehended 542 persons.  An amount of Rs. 2.06 lakh was realized from them towards penalty. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Shri Ravi P. Padi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Assistant Commercial Manager, SCR.
A total of 21 Express trains and 6 Passenger Trains were thoroughly checked at Ghatkesar station by involving 93 Ticket Checking Squad staff and 12 Railway Protection Force personnel. Out of the 542 persons apprehended, 286 persons were found traveling without ticket and 165 persons were found traveling irregularly and 91 cases of unbooked luggage were detected.

SCR Employees Take National Unity Day Pledge



SCR observed National Unity Day today (31st October, 2014) in commemoration of 139th birth anniversary of  Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of  Independent India. As a part of the same, SCR employees over its jurisdiction took National Unity Day Pledge.
At Rail Nilayam, the SCR Head Quarters, Shri S.K. Agarwal, Additional General Manager, SCR, administered the pledge to the employees.  All Railwaymen / women took the solemn pledge to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to strive hard to spread the message among all Indians.
The pledge reads as under;-
“ I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my Country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my Country”.
In the Divisions, Divisional Railway Managers and Chief Work Shop Managers  administered the Pledge to their employees.

SCR Launches Fortnightly Special Safety Drive on ‘Fire Prevention’


South Central Railway launched a fortnightly special drive o­n ‘Fire Prevention’ with immediate effect over its jurisdiction.  During this fortnight, Special Safety Teams comprising of officers and staff from Commercial Department, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Government Railway Police (GRP)  will carry out drives / joint checks in trains, railway stations and parcel offices. The drive will lay emphasis o­n intensive checking to prevent carriage of inflammable / explosives in trains and railway premises in order to ensure safety of rail passengers and railway property.
The special safety teams  will carry out surprise checks against carriage of explosive materials, crackers, other inflammables, gas cylinders, sigri and stove etc., in passenger carrying trains. Random / surprise checks will be carried out to check the luggage and parcels in trains and  at Parcel Offices of Railway stations before they are loaded into trains. Parcel Porters / labourers will be kept under constant vigil to prevent smoking  in the course of loading / unloading activities.  The drive will also include checks o­n unauthorized vendors selling tea / coffee / eatables in the trains by using sigries/ stove and passengers cooking in the trains and Station premises.
Availability of fire extinguishers in working condition and their effectiveness in Locos, Brake Vans, Air Conditioned Coaches, Pantry cars etc will be ensured. Availability of adequate electrical devices in the coaches  as per laid down norms and their proper maintenance will be closely monitored.
The fire prevention drive will focus o­n checking Pantry Carsfor ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of electrical devices, boilers, refrigerators, chimneys, wiring systems and junction boxes etc. Condition of over-load / over voltage protection devices, use of standard size fuses,  proper wiring / earthing,  insulation especially at joints / junctions etc. in the Pantry Cars will also be verified. The drive will ensure adequate fire suppression measures and their proper maintenance in the Pantry  Cars. The knowledge of the staff including Pantry Car staff in operating Fire Extinguishers will be tested. All Loco Pilots, Guards, travelling Carriage & Wagon staff and Pantry Car Staff will be subjected to scrutiny o­n the availability of Center Buffer Coupler (CBC) keys with them.
Awareness campaigns are being undertaken during this fortnight o­n the hazards of carriage of inflammable articles through frequent announcements through Close Circuit Television(CCTV) and  Public Address System  at stations. The campaign will include publishing and telecasting of safety news / messages / display advertisements over print and electronic Media.
In this regard, SCR requests the passengers to immediately bring to the notice of the Railway Staff available near to them or call the Security Helpline-1322 in case they notice any suspicious / dangerous/ explosive / inflammable material in trains or at stations to enable the Railways to swing into action to prevent  any  untoward incident.
As per section 67, 154, 164 and 165 of the Railways Act 1989, carrying inflammable and explosive articles o­n Railways is a punishable offence with a punishment up to 3 years jail or fine up to Rs. 1000/- or both, besides being liable for the loss / injury or damage caused.

1.Train No. 22204 Secunderabad - Visakhapatnam tri-weekly Duronto Express will be augmented with o­ne AC III Tier Coach from 1st  to 15th November, 2014.
2.Train No. 22203 Visakhapatnam - Secunderabad tri-weekly Duronto Express will be augmented with o­ne AC III Tier Coach from 2nd to 16thNovember, 2014.

Ace Badminton Star P.V. Sindhu Joins Swatchh Bharat Campaign at Lingampalli Railway Station

Arjuna  Awardee and International Badminton Star, Ms. P.V. Sindhu joined a Cleanliness Campaign undertaken by Secunderabad Division of  SCR at Lingampalli Railway Station today (1st Nov.2014) as a part of “Swachh Bharat Mission” initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Senior Railway officials Viz., Shri K. Siva Prasad, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, SCR, and Shri M. Uma Shankar Kumar, Senior Divisional Signal & Tele communication Engineer (Coordination), Secunderabad Division and Railway staff working at Lingampalli railway station have participated in the campaign. Shri K. Vidhya Sagar, Mandal Revenue Officer, Serilingam Palli also took part in the campaign.  Faculty and Students  from Schools situated at Lingampalli, Nallakandla and Ramachandra Puram areas Viz.,  Sharadha Vidhya Niketan, Pavithra International School, Rao’s  My Techno School, Srisainath High School, Bharatia Vidhya Bhavan School, Jilla Parishad Schools, Emmaus School, Sahiti Vidhya Niketan School, Arnold School, and rail Passengers participated in large number.
Bronze Medal winner for two consecutive years at World Badminton Championship-2014 (Denmark) and World Badminton Championship-2013 (Guangzhou) and 10thrank holder in the World,  Ms. Sindhu, daughter of Mr. M.V. Ramana, Assistant Sports Officer, SCR who is also an Arjuna Awardee  administered the Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan Pledge to the partakers.
Ms. Sindhu participated in the shramdhaan by sweeping the railway premises and planting trees. While addressing the gathering, she stated that in keeping with the clarion  call given by our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,  every o­ne of us have the responsibility to maintain cleanliness at our home, colonies and public places such as Railway Stations etc. We have to stop littering and spitting  any other place  than garbage bins and spittoons to keep our surrounding clean,  she said. She appealed to the public to help  railways to maintain cleanliness at railway premises and train compartments to ensure a happy and pleasant rail travel.
Ms. Sindhu and the Railway officers present o­n the occasion exhorted the School students, railway employees, rail passengers, and public gathered there to actively participate in Swatch Bharat Abhiyan in future also by maintaining cleanliness and spreading the message to others to achieve the goal of clean Bharat. During the shramdhaan, the participants cleaned the circulating areas of the Lingampalli stations including its approach roads and vehicle parking areas.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, SCR will run special trains between Kacheguda and Kollam & Machilipatnam and Kollam as per the following schedule:-
1)Special Train Between Kacheguda-Kollam (two services):Train No. 07115 Kacheguda-Kollam Special train will depart Kacheguda at 10:35 am o­n 16th November, 2014 (Sunday) and arrive Kollam at 05:40 pm o­n the next day. In the return direction, Tr. No.07116 Kollam-Kacheguda Special train will depart Kollam at 09:00 pm o­n 17th November, 2014 (Monday) and arrive Kacheguda at 02:35 am o­n 19th November, 2014 (Wednesday).

WR EXTENDS RUN OF PREMIUM AC SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN MUMBAI CENTRAL & NEW DELHI

Western Railway has decided to run 6 more trips  of  22913/14 Mumbai Central –New Delhi  Premium AC Superfast Special Train.
Accordingly, train no. 22913 Mumbai Central–New Delhi  Premium AC Superfast Special Train will also run o­n 9th,12th & 14th November, 2014 o­n its extended trips.

50% TATKAL QUOTA ON DYNAMIC PRICING IN 5 MORE WR TRAINS

50% Tatkal Quota at Dynamic Pricing scheme shall now be implemented in  5 more trains which originating from Western Railway.
It has been decided previously by Ministry of Railways, that 50% of the existing tatkal quota shall be sold under dynamic fare scheme. After booking of the 50% of the tatkal quota under Tatkal scheme, the subsequent 50% of the tatkal quota, defined as premium tatkal quota shall be sold o­n dynamic pricing.
The following additional WR trains now have facility of 50% Tatkal Quota at Dynamic Pricing w.e.f. 3rdNovember,2014(i.e. for trains departing ex originating station o­n 04/11/2014)  -

WR opens new FOB at Virar

Western Railway has opened a Foot Over Bridge at Virar North end  for easier  east-west movement of people.
This Foot Over Bridge is  about 64 meter in length and 6.1 meter wide.  People now have East-West connectivity and access to platform no 4 & 5 also. This FOB has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.39 crore.
Western Railway is providing more and more FOBs for safer and easier movement of commuters and to reduce trespassing. Western Railway has added more than 25 Foot Over Bridges in last 7 years. At present, there are 100 Foot Over Bridges including 76 railway & 24 BMC bridges and 8 Subways o­n WR Suburban section.
A massive increase in Foot Over Bridges o­n suburban section has also been planned. Work of construction of 12 new Foot Over Bridges is under progress at Dadar, Matunga, Santacruz, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Nalasopara, Virar & 2 at Vasai Road and 2 subways at Bhayander and Naigaon stations.  This will facilitate smooth movement of commuters and also help in reducing trespassing o­n tracks.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW WEEKLY EXPRESS TRAIN BETWEEN LOKMANYA TILAK TERMINUS AND HUBLI

Railways have decided to introduce a new Weekly Express train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Hubli. The details are as under: –
      
17322 Weekly Express will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 21.15 hrs o­n every Sunday from 2.11.2014 and will arrive Hubli at 17.35 hrs next day.

17321 Weekly Express will leave Hubli at 22.30 hrs o­n every Saturday from 8.11.2014 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.55 hrs next day.

EXTENSION OF SPECIALS TRAINS BETWEEN PUNE AND TIRUCHIRAPPALLI

Railways have decided to extend the run of Special trains between Pune and Tiruchirappalli to clear the extra rush of passengers during festival holidays. The details are as under: 

Train No. 06802 Special will leave Pune 15.40 hrs o­n every Monday from 03.11.2014 to 29.12.2014 (9 trips) and arrive Tiruchirappalli at 19.15 hrs next day.

Train No. 06801 Special will leave Tiruchirappalli at 05.30 hrs o­n every Sunday from 02.11.2014 to 28.12.2014 (9 trips) and arrive Pune at 11.50 hrs next day.


HALTS: Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Muddanuru, Yerranguntla, Kadapa, Razampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vridachalam, and Srirangam.

RUNNING OF SPECIAL TRAINS DURING KARTIKI FAIR AT PANDHARPUR

Central Railway has decided to run special trains with immediate effect upto 6.11.2014 o­n account of Kartiki fair being held at Pandharpur. The main day is o­n 3.11.2014.

These specials will run between Kurduwadi - Pandharpur -  Kurduwadi , Pandharpur - Miraj - Pandharpur and Latur - Pandharpur - Latur section for the convenience of pilgrims attending Kartiki fair held at Pandharpur. During the fair the scheduled passenger trains will be augmented with additional coaches.

EXTENSION OF Bi-WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN YESVANTPUR AND MIRAJ TILL 28.11.2014

Railways have decided to extend the run of Bi-weekly special train between Yesvantpur and Miraj to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below.

Train No.06517 Yesvantpur- Miraj Bi-weekly special will leave Yesvantpur at 20.40 hrs every Monday and Thursday till 27.11.2014 and will reach Miraj at 10.15 hrs next day.
