Improve Mobility and Accord Priority to Safety -Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, GM/SCR



Improve mobility in rail operations while according top priority to safety as the deadlines for meeting the targets set for current fiscal is fast approaching said Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway. He was addressing a Video Conference of Divisional Railway Manager’s of all six divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded from Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad today i.e. 6th February 2017.
The General Manager in his address called upon the Divisional Railway Managers to do integrated maintenance of railway tracks in order to resolve safety and mobility issues. In addition to Safety, the other core areas of priority are Punctuality, Earnings, Project execution he added. Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav emphasized o­n track maintenance as vital to Safety and advised officials to intensify checks and inspections to avoid any unusual. He expressed concern over delay in ordering relief locomotive in the instances of loco failures. He advised officials to act promptly in avoiding loco failures as well as arranging relief locomotives.
The General Manager wanted the Construction Organisation to achieve the targets set for completion and commissioning of last mile projects without any scope for delay. Opining that team work is most important, he instructed all the departments to work in co-ordination so as to attain best possible results. The General Manager wanted proper utilization of assets and also encouraged officials to come out with innovations towards bettering performance results.

Up Slow/Semi fast line services leaving Mulund station from 10.48 am to 4.23 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations halting at Thane, Diva and Dombivli stations and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Dn slow locals will not available at Kalva, Mumbra, Kopar and Thakurli stations. Passengers of these stations are allowed to travel via Kalyan, Dombivali and Diva stations



Down fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 10.20 am to 2.42 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.



Up fast trains leaving Kalyan from 11.00 am to 3.08 pm will halt at Diva, Mulund, Bhandup , Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule beyond.



All Dn and Up slow locals leaving / arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

All Dn Harbour line services to Bandra / Andheri leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 10.38 am to 4.43 pm and Up harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Bandra / Andheri from 10.44 am to 4.13 pm will remain suspended.



However, Special services will be run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.



Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.



Due to these blocks, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling o­n foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. NEW DELHI: Indian Railways recently conducted online recruitment examination for over 18,000 vacancies in various categories. It is touted as the largest online examination. Earlier Indian Railways conducted pen-paper based examination through its Railway Recruitment Board, popularly known as RRB. The online examination has been introduced to remove any scope for malpractices during the examination. As part of the recruitment drive, RRB had received application of more than 92 lakh candidates. Out of the 92 lakh applicants, 2.73 lakh candidates qualified the preliminary exam.
