As soon as the trains enter in the yard for maintenance and cleanliness each part of the rolling stock (coach) will be checked automatically, for this the railway stations yard will be made smart. Hot Wheel Axle, rolling stock including hanging parts will be checked immediately. Right now the railway personnel check manually. The lack of rolling stock is not visible many times with naked eye. For this smart yards will be made by upgrading the system.

The Railway Board is insisting on preventing railway accidents. For this, new technology devices are being installed along the railway tracks so that if there is any defect at any place, then instant information can be obtained. For this, modern equipment is also being given to the employees patrolling the railway tracks. In the same sequence, preparations are being made to make the yard smart. Hot Wheel Axle, Coupling, faulty briquetting, hanging parts will be investigated immediately in the smart yard. It will be known easily if there is defect in any coach.

Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway Ajit Kumar Singh says that discussions are going on at the Railway Board Level right now about the smart yard. The first smart yard in Allahabad Division will be built at Kanpur Central Station. After that a smart yard will be built at Allahabad Junction. The Smart Yard will immediately provide all shortcomings of the coaches.
