भारतीय रेल ने यात्री सुविधा के लिए लोकप्रिय क्षेत्र को स्टेशन के नाम से जोड़ने का नवाचार दृष्टिकोण अपनाया

यात्रा की योजना बनाते समय भारतीय रेल न सिर्फ स्टेशन बल्कि सही जगह भी बताएगा

छोटे स्टेशनों को लोकप्रिय शहरों/क्षेत्रों से जोड़ा गया है जैसे- सारनाथ को बनारस से, साबरमती को अहमदाबाद से, पनवेल को मुंबई से जोड़ा गया ह

यह नया दृष्टिकोण यात्रा की बेहतर योजना और वेबसाइट और मोबाइल ऐप पर टिकट बुकिंग में व्यक्तिगत यात्री अनुभव प्रदान करेगा

यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए छोटे स्टेशनों को लोकप्रिय क्षेत्रों/शहरों के साथ पहचानने की सुविधा के लिए भारतीय रेल ने लोकप्रिय क्षेत्रों को स्टेशन के नाम के साथ जोड़ने का एक नवाचारी दृष्टिकोण अपनाया है। इस नए दृष्टिकोण से यात्रा की बेहतर योजना और वेबसाइट और मोबाइल ऐप पर टिकट बुकिंग में व्यक्तिगत यात्री अनुभव प्राप्त होगा। इससे पर्यटकों को भी सुविधा होगी क्योंकि स्टेशन खोजना आसान हो जाएगा। साथ ही यात्रियों को बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी मिलेगी। यह सुविधा कल (21.07.2023) से उपलब्ध होगी।

इस पहल में सेटेलाइट सिटी को रेलवे स्टेशनों से जोड़ना भी शामिल है – जैसे नोएडा से नई दिल्ली। कभी-कभी, स्थानीय/लोकप्रिय नाम रेलवे स्टेशन के नामों से भिन्न होते हैं, जिससे यात्रा योजना बनाते समय भ्रम की स्थिति पैदा होती है, इसलिए इस तरह के जुड़ाव से भ्रम समाप्त हो जाएगा।

उद्देश्य को पूरा करने के लिए, प्रौद्योगिकी में एप्लीकेशनों में परिवर्तन किए गए हैं और 175 लोकप्रिय शहर/क्षेत्र को 725 स्टेशनों के साथ जोड़ा गया है। इन परिवर्तनों को ई-टिकट बुकिंग वेबसाइट के यात्रा प्लानर स्टेशन खोज में शामिल किया गया है। कार्यक्षमता यात्रा प्लानर और टिकट की इलेक्ट्रॉनिक आरक्षण पर्ची पर प्रदर्शित की जाएगी।

क्षेत्रीय महत्व और नागरिकों के लिए गौरव: रेलवे स्टेशन से लोकप्रिय शहर के नाम का जुड़ाव नागरिकों को गर्व और स्वामित्व की भावना देता है।

यह कार्यक्षमता परिचालन कारणों से स्टेशन में बदलाव के मामले में संचार में आसानी प्रदान करेगी, उदाहरण के लिए, यदि परिचालन/रखरखाव गतिविधि के कारण एक निर्धारित स्टेशन बदला जाता है – यात्रा प्लानर खोज में वैकल्पिक स्टेशन दिखाएगा-

उदाहरण के लिए, ट्रेन 19031 [अहमदाबाद से जयपुर] को निर्धारित स्टेशन अहमदाबाद के बजाय असारवा से चलाने की योजना है। असारवा को अहमदाबाद इनपुट पर यात्रा प्लानर में दिखाया जाएगा – वर्तमान में यह गतिविधि मैन्युअल रूप से की जाती है।

इसके अलावा, एमआईएस (प्रबंधन सूचना प्रणाली) उत्पन्न होने से नई ट्रेनों और स्टेशन सुविधाओं की बेहतर योजना बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।

Indian Railways adopts innovative approach of linking Popular Area with Station Name for Passenger Convenience

Identification of small stations with popular areas/cities is easy now

Railway will prompt not only the station but also the right place while planning journey

Small stations are linked with popular cities/areas like Sarnathhas been linked with Banaras, Sabarmati has been linked with Ahmedabad, Panvel has been linked with Mumbai etc.

This new approach would yield better planning of journey and personalized passenger experience in ticket booking on website and Mobile app
For tourists, ease of station search

175 popular city/area have been mapped with 725 stations
This facility will be available from 21.07.2023

For the convenience of Passengers’ identification of small stations with popular areas/cities, Indian Railways has adopted an innovative approach of linkingPopular Area with station name. This new approach would yield better planning of journey and personalized passenger experience in ticket booking on website and Mobile app. It would also facilitate tourists as station search will get easier. Also, better connectivity will be available for passengers. This facility will be available from tomorrow (21.07.2023).

This initiative also include slinking of satellite city to connecting railway stations – eg., Noida to New Delhi. Sometimes, Local/ popular names are different from railway station names leading to confusion while journey planning hence linking will eliminate confusion.

To accomplish the objective, application changes in technology have been done and 175 popular city/area have been linked with 725 stations. These changes have been incorporated in the journey planner station search of e-ticket booking website. The functionality shall be displayed on the journey planner and electronic reservation slip of the ticket.

The functionality will provide ease of communication in case of change in station due to operational reasons e.g., if a scheduled station is changed due to operational/ maintenance activity – journey planner will show alternate station in search:

e.g., Train 19031 [Ahmedabad to Jaipur] is planned from Asarva instead of scheduled station Ahmedabad. Asarva will be shown in journey planner on input Ahmedabad – currently this activity is done manually.

Further, MIS (Management Information System) generated will enable better planning of new trains and station amenities.
