भारत में हैं दुनिया के सबसे लंबे रेलवे प्लेटफॉर्म

गोरखपुर जंक्शन, भारत तथा दुनिया का सबसे लंबा रेलवे स्टेशन है। ये दिनाँक 6/10/2013 को री-मॉडलिंग के काम के बाद गोरखपुर जंक्शन के प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर-1 और 2 की संयुक्त लंबाई 1366.4 मीटर (4,483 फीट) हो गई है, जो कि दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी है।

इसके साथ ही यहां 26 बोगियों वाले दो ट्रेनों को एक साथ खड़ा किया जा सकता है। गोरखपुर से रोजाना करीब 170 + ट्रेनों का आवागमन होता है।

कोल्लम जंक्शन, केरल, ये भारत तथा दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे लम्बा रेलवे स्टेशन है। इस जंक्शन की लंबाई 1,180.5 मीटर (3,873 फीट) है। इस स्टेशन पर 6 प्लेटफार्म है और 17 ट्रैक हैं।

खड़गपुर जंक्शन, वेस्ट बंगाल, ये भारत तथा दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन है। इसकी लंबाई 1,072.5 मीटर (3,519 फीट) है। इस स्टेशन पर 12 प्लेटफार्म हैं, जिनमे से 2 पर अभी काम चल रहा है। कुछ समय बाद इसके सभी प्लेटफॉर्म चलाने लगेंगे।
