RPF/ER NABBED TOUTS, RESCUED MINOR BOYS FROM STATION PREMISES, RENDERED ASSISTANCE TO THE INJURED & RECOVERED LEFT BEHIND BAGS

The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Eastern Railway provides all out security to rail users, ranging from arresting of touts, rescuing of minor boys & girls, rendering assistance to the injured and recovering left behind belongings of the passengers. They have made commendable works to extend guidance & assistance to the rail users besides their task of ensuring security to the passengers. Some of the recent incidents where RPF made its fullest efforts are detailed as under:-

ARREST OF TOUTS
1)On 10.12.2020, acting o­n source information, officers & staff of RPF post, Sealdah Main and CIB/Sealdah arrested a tout with recovery of two Railway tickets valued ₹.5460/-, cash of ₹510/- and other incriminating articles from his possession.

2)On 12.12.2020, officers & staff of RPF post/Nabadwip and CIB/Howrah arrested a tout at PRS counter of Nabadwip Dham Railway station with recovery of o­ne counter ticket valued ₹.4810/- cash of ₹.13,550/- and other incriminating articles from his possession.

3)On 14.12.2020, officers & staff of RPF Post/Sealdah Main and CIB/Sealdah arrested a tout from PRS counter of Sealdah Railway station with recovery of o­ne Railway ticket valued ₹.4960/-, cash of ₹.200/- and other incriminating articles from his possession.

RESCUE
1)On 9.12.2020, officers & staff of RPF Post/Sealdah South rescued a minor boy aged about 5 years while he was found loitering at Sealdah Railway station. o­n being asked, he could o­nly disclosed his name. Later o­n, he was handed over to Child Line, Sealdah o­n proper documentation.

2)On 10.12.2020, acting o­n information, o­n duty Train Escort Party of RPF Post/Howrah South rescued a minor boy about 14 years while he was travelling alone in 02345 Saraighat Special Express. It could be learnt that he ran away from home as he was scolded by his parents. Later o­n, he was handed over to Child Line, Malda through RPF Post, Malda o­n proper documentation.

ASSISTANCE RENDERED TO INJURED
1)On 12.12.2020, Officers & staff of RPF outpost Chittaranjan rescued an injured male person aged about 55 years o­n Railway track at Chittaranjan Railway station. It could be learnt that the person had fallen down from a running train and he was shifted to S. D. Hospital, Asansol for treatment.
2)On 14.12.2020, o­n receipt of information from Station Manager, Haripal, officers & staff of RPF Post/Tarakeswar and GRP/Kamarkundu rescued an injured female person between Haripal & Kaikala Railway station. It could be learnt that she fell down from a local train during journey. Necessary assistance was rendered and she was shifted to Arambagh Sadar Hospital for treatment.

RECOVERY OF LEFT BEHIND BELONGINGS
1)On 13.12.2020, o­n receipt of information from Security Control Room, Malda, officers & staff of RPF Post/Malda retrieved a left behind bag containing o­ne laptop, 2 mobile phones and other personal belongings total value of ₹.63,500/- in train No. 03163 Hatey Bazarey Special Express o­n its arrival at Malda Railway station and secured to RPF Post. The recovered bag was handed over to its owner after due verification and o­n proper documentation.

2)On 16.12.2020, o­n receipt of information from Security Control Room/Howrah, o­n duty Train Escort Party of RPF Post/Howrah South recovered two bags containing o­ne laptop with its accessories and some other valuable articles total value of ₹.31,000/-from train no. 02345 Saraighat Special Express. The recovered bags were secured to RPF Post/Malda. o­n 17.12.2020, the recovered bags were handed over to its owner’s representative after due verification and o­n proper documentation.
