Result of Train Manager (Goods Guard) Departmental Exam

Shri R.K. Kulshrestha, General Manager, Southern Railway conducted annual inspection at major and minor stations i.e., Kannur

Kannapuram, Kasaragod, Uppala and Mangaluru Central and reviewed the Division’s performance. Shri. Pratap Singh Shami, Divisional Railway Manager of Palakkad Division, Principal Heads of Departments, other officers and staff accompanied General Manager. At Kannur, Shri. R.K. Kulshrestha inspected renovated station Building, newly developed parking area, renovated Officers Rest House, newly constructed Subway, Electrical Substation, Inaugurated Children’s park and Handed over keys of Newly constructed Quarters to staff. At Kannapuram, General Manager inspected LC.No.252 , Railway Yard, Panel and Relay Rooms and also the newly installed IP based camera. Between Kannapuram – Kasaragod section, General Manager inspected Major Bridge and Demonstration of Real time surveillance of Bridge was also held. At Kasaragod, General Manager inaugurated Track Machine Staff Rest Room, inspected newly provided 7 bays Platform shelters, commissioning of OFC equipment, inspected booking office and promotion of mobile app. GM also dedicated electrical sub station at Uppala. At Mangaluru Central, GM and PHODs inspected station cleanliness, progress of the ongoing FOB work connecting Platform No.1, RPF post, Running Room, Crew booking lobby, Remote Commissioning of software at NTVT to guide Station Masters for signalling of trains on the right direction, inspected coaching depot, Inaugurated renovated Officers Rest House and Children’s park. The General Manager interacted with Passenger Associations and commuters at various railway stations and received their representations and assured that the representation will be looked into. During the course of inspection, the General Manager declared cash awards to outstanding employees and distributed merit certificates on the spot.
